I would write to you privately if I had an email address but you refuse to identify yourself so I can't contact you.You accuse me in a recent email of cutting you off. Well, technically, you are right but you're wrong about the reason. I cut you off and refuse to post your emails not because I disagree with you. I am more than glad to debate you. You refuse to identify yourself. I have offered not to reveal your identity on this site if you so wish but you still won't say who you really are. You seem to know a lot about the Duke Lacrosse Rape Case. If and when you reveal your true identity then we can have a robust debate. Until then, get your own blog!
The same goes for the rest of you who are writing without saying who you are. I have no obligation to post your emails in the first place. The more you email me without revealing who you are the more I have to think that you have an agenda (i.e. you have some connection to the young men accused in the Lacrosse Rape Case) that you don't want to reveal. So, put up or shut up!

Steve, you haven't cleared one comment on any of your blog posts in re: the Mangum trial.
Why is that? Do you know how?
Given your demonstrated agenda, there is no reason to trust your promise. Why would I put my real identity in your hands? The fact that you want my real name so that you can investigate whether or not I am "connected to the Duke Lacrosse team" and then, presumably, blog about it, is the exact reason that you will not find out my real name. As if someone "connected to the Duke lacrosse team" (whatever that means) does not have a voice to which you should listen.
If I wanted to bother I could create a faux real-looking name and email address and you'd never know the difference. But you're not worth the bother.
You're just using this as a dodge to avoid having anyone contradict you here and to have to defend what you're saying. You can do that of course but you'll just be sitting here talking to yourself. So if you really want some kind of dialog, you're the one who needs to put up or shut up.
For the record, I received three degrees from Duke three decades ago. That's my entire connection to Duke.
Thanks Mike Preston for using what sounds like a real name. I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by "cleared". Should I be taking posts down after a few days or something? Maybe you could clarify for me.
Thanks,

I couldn't resist publishing the latest missive I got from "anonymous" or should I call him/her "locomotive breath" the names keep changing.
Anyway, just so we're clear about my "agenda" let me state it for you: My agenda is to see that Crystal gets a fair trial first and foremost. A secondary concern is to offer a different opinion about what really took place in the whole Duke Lacrosse Rape Case debacle. I have to admit that I do enjoy the picture I get in my mind of someone like "anonymous" frothing at the mouth in his/her impotency to silence me as I voice my opinion. It is just this sort of blind rage that drove so much of the Lacrosse incident. How dare some black girl from the wrong side of town dare to challenge these upstanding young men. How dare their privilege to do whatever they want because they are rich and well connected, how dare that be challenged. Next thing you know you'll have redistribution of wealth and equality running rampant across the land. We simply can't have people actually being treated as equals. That would bring the whole system down around our ears. I am all about comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable. So, there you have my agenda. I look forward your next tirade against the forces of equality and how they so enrage you. Be sure to wipe the froth off your lips, however!
